Learning that meets your child where they are, and keeps them climbing.
Learnstead builds every lesson on Alberta's learning outcomes. Your child is checked as they go, and the program moves them up when they're ready and back to a mini-lesson when they're stuck.
How it works
Choose what to learn
Pick full-program home education or after-school extras, subject by subject.
Quick placement check
A short check finds the right starting level for each skill.
Practice that adapts
Three right in a row moves the level up. Two misses brings a mini-lesson.

Kindergarten to Grade 9, built on Alberta outcomes
For 2026–27, Alberta uses the new curriculum for K–6 English language arts, math, science, and physical education and wellness, with new social studies starting in Grades 4–6. Grades 7–9 are still on the current programs of study while new courses are piloted. Learnstead follows whichever program is in force for each grade.
